Comments:

I spent time with a young man during my year at Secrest, and then I went to SRHS and had to wait till he came to SRHS. In 2000 we found each other on classmates.com and at that time we werent able to hook up. Now, we are just anticipating when we will be able to see each other again. What a great romantic story this will be. Hopefully, BP & DS will be together once again.

School Story:

Had my mom and dad not moved to Maryland, so that my mom could secure a fantastic job at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, I would have been able to graduate with my friends at Santa Rita High School. Instead, in my last year of high school, I was forced to adapt to a new school, and just make it through the year. I was blessed to be a part of the Advanced Mixed Choir and the Womens Choir as their accompianist. In 1978, our Choir sang "Peace, Peace I Leave With You". Since then, I had been on the search for a copy of that music. This year, after 35 years, I was able to talk to the composer of the music and he graciously sent me that music. To this day, I still feel, that music (as we performed it at the Baccalaureate) was and is the most beautiful ever. I cant wait to conduct the music with my own choir.

What a shock -  I remember his antics and his kindness towards me through all our classes.  He was most certainly a diamond in the rough.  God Bless.

Bradley James Burton 51 years old, was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2013. He will be missed and remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was preceded in death by his baby sister, Suzanne Elizabeth; his grandparents, Ira and Evelyn Burton and Dewey and Ruth Helton and stepfather, Victor Mergard. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Zaniah Izaguirre-Burton. He was a loving father to his two daughters, Crystal Ann and Zaniah Burton and his puppy who he loved like his daughter, Ziva. He is also survived by his parents, Kermit (Barbara) Burton and his mother, Joan Mergard; his brother, Brett (Amy) Burton and nephew, Shane Bradley Burton. One of his greatest accomplishments was to work for the Zales Corporation for 23 years. Brad not only met his goals but surpassed those objectives with the help of a great team who he considered his family. He was joyful, affectionate, kind and generous!! One of the greatest fulfillments in life was to be close to God where he found peace and Joy. One of Brad's greatest satisfactions was to read and recite scriptures from the Bible. His sense of humor and devotion for life will be deeply missed, but always remembered by the ones who loved him. Mom, Crystal, Zaniah, and Ziva will always love you. "This is not a good-bye" but "Till we meet again." A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Arrangements entrusted to EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/tucson/obituary.aspx?pid=166316072#sthash.Rk1MnTAw.dpuf

crying How very sad to hear of the loss of our friend Lori - I remember her quiet nature and sweet disposition and when she walked into the classroom, she lit it up with her presence.  God be with her family and friends and may they find peace.  Lori you will be very much missed.
